fibromyocitis

(2 discussions)

Hi, Fibromyocitis is a new diagnosis for me.
I’ve been in pretty serious pain 24/7 for a long time.
I’m feeling relief actually, to have a direction to head in.
I’m beginning PT tomorrow, 3 to 5 times a week and would like to know what types you prescribe.
I have neuropathy, arthritis, and CFS.
I’ve lost so much mobility I am pretty much scooter bound.
I no longer drive much as I don’t trust my strength and response levels. Just getting to, and in and out of the car is difficult.
I am only 67 and otherwise in good health.
Weight is an issue but it has always been an issue and I have been at my present weight, 260 for about ten years.
I eat a healthy diet, I do not overeat.
I don’t consider myself as a person with food issues, but a person who has trouble exercising.
My muscles have become weak and are growing weaker.
I badly need to turn this around in order to maintain mobility.
I am my mother and father’s main caretaker, they have alzheimer’s and parkinson’s and I need to stay mobile.
Thanks, Jacquie

You’re a jerk Dr. Bellhone….if you are even a doctor. Just because you don’t understand something does not mean that it does not exist. It’s not all in everyone’s head. This symptom complex is not at epidemic level.

This a hypochondria. Reducing caloric intake by 20-30% may help as well as making every effort to excerise as much as possible, working against the pain and it will go away.
