First metatarsal injury left foot.
I took a very vicious hockey stick slash to this area and I thought for sure it was broken. X-rays were negative. The bruising at the top of the foot and by the arch by the middle of the foot is long gone. It’s been 4 weeks since the injury and I still suffer from stabs of pain from the middle inside of the left foot. I still cannot run or jump. Could it of been fractured yet not show up on xray. As stated it’s been 4 weeks?

A MRI would be helpful to see what the damage is either soft tissue or bone. But if there is nerve damage, it will be impossible to see on a MRI.
