I think I sprained or broke something in the joint connecting to my pinky toe, what should I do to help it heal faster and how can I tell if somethings broke?

The only sure way of diagnosing a fracture (break) is an x-ray. If it is fractured the quickest way for it to heal is don’t walk on it for a few days (use crutches non weight bearing on affected foot) and then after that wear a post op shoe for about a week. Good luck!

Yes, you can remove the walking cast to sleep, bathe, etc.;that is the advantage of a walking cast over a normal cast. You must be careful, however, not to do any walking at all (such as even walking to the bathroom during the night) without the walking cast on. Use crutches, or slip the boot back on for even such short trips.
