foot drop diagnosis

(3 discussions)

My grown daughter has had foot drop for 11 months and it has gotten worse over time. PT and many specialists and EMGs, MRIs, CTs, bloodwork, Myleogram/Spinal Tap, all are inconclusive as to its cause. They say it isn’t coming from the back, but she says it feels like it is. 4 Neuros and 1 n-surgeon have no clue. Ortho doesn’t either. Her PT has tried everything he knows. IS there any PTherapy she can try that is specifically for foot drop, from someone with experience in it?? Desparate. [email protected]

I HAD SCIASTIC PAIN WITH A PINCHED NERVE. I AM GOING TO A CHIROPRACTOR AND ALSO HAD INJECTIONS IN MY BACK FROM A PAIN DOCTOR. THE INJECTIONS CURED ME OF MY SCIATIC PAIN AND I HAVE NO PAIN AT THE PRESENT TIME. MY ANCLE IS A LITTLE SWOLLEN NOW AND I FEEL WHEN I WALK THAT MY FOOT FLOPS. I DO NOT WALK THE SAME AS I DID BEFORE THIS ALL HAPPENED. I HAD BENT DOWN AND PICKED UP SOMETHING THE WRONG WAY WHEN MY BACK GAVE OUT.
