Fractured Talus

(3 discussions)

I fractured my Talus bone 7 weeks ago, I have been in a fibreglass cast since and will be possibly in it another 4 to 6 weeks. Is this normal?, also my consultant has said I have to put wait on my foot now 7th week, what advise do you have for how much pressure on the foot at this point. I would really apreciate as much advise as possible on my injury. Thanks a very painfull Patient.Jim

I dislocated my ankle and broke / displaced talus 10 month ago after being thrown from my horse. Completely non weight bearing for about 4 months. I can now walk but have a fair limp and a lot of pain. Cannot run or walk on uneven ground. Live in hope that it will improve further!

Help, I fractured my talus 7 weeks ago. The bone was internally fixed with screws and I have 5 more weeks of no weight bearing. I’m hoping for healing but what do I face. My employer is about ready to terminate me. I’ve been working but they may not retain me.Help.Maggie
