I think that it could be around four to five weeks. That’s what my osteo has told me in the past. Of course it all depends upon severity, age, etc… Best advice is to take it easy until you are sure, then build up slowly. Try stress free machines like the cross-trainer. If you must run, use the treadmill as it creates less impact on the joints. Swimming and water-jogging are pretty good as well.
