Groin strain

(2 discussions)

I have a real annoying groin problem. I’ve had a slight strain for the last year and my hobby is triathlon. I’ve rested for up to 2-3 weeks but this did no good. I’ve seen a physio and oestoepath but this didn’t help either. I’ve had a steroid injection but still did not work. When I run or bike I don’t really feel it but afterwards for a day or so it is nagging.

I don’t know if training is doing any damage or whether it’s something I just have to put up with.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I certainly agree with Hollywood. Adductor strains benefit greatly from deep massage techniques.

    Aren’t all groin problems anoying?
Well, the most common muscle involved with groin pulls, is pectinius. I would recommend massage therapy on your adductors, especially pectinius.
