I have just been diagnosed with Hadlund’s Deformity and was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about this, such as correcting the problem.
Thanks,s.brewer
If you will do a search on Google or your favorite search engine for Haglunds deformity, there will be a good deal of information. It is generally regarded as a bony enlargement of the posterior superior aspect of the calcaneus. This rubs against the Achilles tendon and into a shoe causing problems.
Sometimes it is referred to as a pump bump.
Treatment can include wearing shoes without a back, padding and surgery. Hope this helps.
