Haglund’s Deformity

My 18 year old son is a hockey player and suffers from Haglund’s Deformity.
He has orthotics and has also had his skates modified to adjust for the problem, but it is becoming worse.
He has had several cortizon shots (without my consent)but he knows that is only temporary.
We would like to explore the posibilty of surgery.
How can we find a surgeon who specializes in this problem?

This is my opinion and I do not speak for every doctor in practice. I do not inject the Achilles tendon area with cortisone. It can weaken the attachment and possibly lead to rupture. You need to see a podiatrist and get an exam and discuss your concerns further. Good luck.
