Hallux Ridgidus

I’m a 21 year old and had a bunionectomy in January in which my orthopedist used a pin to help straighten my toe.
My toe has already fallen back over.
Now, I’m have joint pain in which it is especially painful when I bend my toe back.
My orthopedist said that I had Hallux Ridgidus.
Also, my sesamoid bone is in two parts.
I was wondering if maybe I had inflammation in the joint as well.
Would you recommend having an MRI done to make sure that there is nothing else wrong with the joint?
My orthopedist informed me that I could have surgery because cortisone shots have not been affective.
What would you recommend.

I recommend you get a copy of your records and see a podiatrist for another viewpoint.
