Hard sore on top of foot

About an inch to an inch and a half up my foot, from my big toe, I’ve developed a hard sore spot on the top of my foot.
I don’t know if it was caused by a pair of sandals that had leather straps over the top of my foot.
They seem to fit great, but know I try not to wear them because it causes so much pain from this bump!
Is there anything I can do to make the bump go away.
It is not painful, unless pressure is applied to it (ie when I am wearing shoes).
I’m a SAHM who most often doesn’t wear shoes but when I must, they are painful!!!
