healing time for bone removal?

I broke my fifth metatarsal at the base. after 5 months of wearing a boot the fragment moved 90 percent. the doctor had to do surgery. At first he wanted to put a screw in. However the fragment broke when screw was inserted.
The dr. finally took out the fragment and stitched me up. Now 2 weeks later my foot still hurts when I spend time on my feet.. how long will it take to heal? is it still broken? It feels like the week after I first broke my bone!
