help me!! i don’t know what’s going on

i noticed today an itchy swollen area right below my big toe. as the day progressed, the itching started to become worse and now in addition my whole foot is very swollen. this has never happened before and I am wondering if this is something I should have checked out, and what it could possibly be. please help!!
