Help – fundiagnosed foot pain in the outer heel

Hello,
I am in alot of pain that has yet to be diagnosed.
I think the pain is in the calcaneus bone?
I have had an xray and bone scan – no stress fracture.
My Dr says it could be a bone bruise but I don’t think it is – sometimes I get the pain when I step down and sometimes just while I am sitting.
The pain seems to be very localized – the Dr did mention possibly a nerve but she didn’t think it would be far back in the lower outside heel which is where my pain is.
Anybody have anything similar I would love to hear from you!
Thanks

Without examining you, I can not se sure. If a bone scan and x-ray is negative then a nerve entrapment is a possibility. Sometimes a cortisone shot is helpful fo this.
