hip pain

(2 discussions)

I have a quick question. Last night, being newlyweds, my wife and I did what newlyweds do.
While being newlyweds, I felt my left hip “pop”.
I felt sudden pain and weakness in this area and had pain all throughout the evening (while lying down) and into today.
I noticed this morning that it was definately weak and painful whenever I rotate on it and tends to “give out” (painful) when I walk.
What do you think is wrong? As I sit and write this e-mail, I can sense a dull pain that definitely is noticable.
I also notice a limp (favoring) that occurs.
Please help if possible…

Hmmm, sounds as if you maybe stressed your joint…maybe an odd position? Or one where your hip was taken to the end of range. Check with your doctor and get a look-see to put your mind at ease.

Hi, My name is Chris. I’m probably going to have a total hip replacement done summer of 06 sometime. I’m still deciding yet. I’m curious what kind of post-op exercises are?
