How do you remove a corn

Is there some type of surgery to remove a corn that has left discoloration and keeps rehardening after it is trimmed away.
I trim the corns but it is lighter than the rest of my skin and it left a round ball on my toe and it keeps rehardening. What do I do to solve this problem?

A corn has an underlying bone problem therefore using chemical acids to eat away at the skin are not only dangerous but not addressing the cause of the problem. If you want more information see a podiatrist for your options.
