hyper extended arm (elbow)

how long does it usually take for a hyperextended arm to heal and what are some things I can do to speed up the process… I was playing basketball and my arm got caught up in another persons arm and he turned real quick and extended to far… I heard a few cracks as well…write back asap thank you
