hyperextended elbow

(3 discussions)

i hyperextended my elbow about 4 weeks ago playing football. I only have pain in it when I have quick sudden movement with my arm. I can lift things with my arm and pretty much do any other thing, but when I hit something with the bad elbow I occur pain, then it doesn’t bother me. example when I play volleyball I can’t hit the ball with left arm because the pressure of the ball hitting my arm causes discomfort. just wanted an opionion on what I should do. thanks!

I have a hyper extended right / left elbow. But the right elbow has the pain from lifting a 5 gal joint compound bucket and the elbow went backwards it tore some tissue on the front. My Chiropractor told me to keep it in a sling to avoid motion. After th etissue is healed I will have to use the hyper extension brace. I need a brace that can keep the elbow at a 90deg angle or more and later on readjust it back to the open angle. Do you have such a brace that can give me a fixed 90deg angle plus? please give me your advice… Thanks

I recently hyperextended my elbow at a judo tournament. The elbow noticably bent past vertical, and the officials immediately stopped play to see if I was alright. I said I was fine and after a few minutes rest I continued playing. My elbow has since been bothering me, which is a problem because I also play baseball. What can I do to stop the pain in the elbow, and should I get it checked out by a doctor?
