I have terrible chin splints

Here for about 2 months now, I have had a very bad pain that never goes away in my chin. I was told that they were chin splints, and that there was nothin that I could do about it, and not to be so hard on my leg to avoid pressure. I have wrapped it, and put all kinds of lotions on it. If there is anything that I can do, please fill me in immediately! Thank You Jo Swartz
