information on broken humouros bone
Please help me. I fell off my treadmill night before last and landed on my right shoulder/arm.excruciating pain.xrays confirmed broken arm(humouros bone).Doctor said method of treatment is a sling. Would’nt it heal better with a cast?I’m right handed and can’t help using it sometime.

Nope, a sling is the procedure for a broken humerus. Try to use your left hand as much as possible, but don’t forget to move your right hand, open and close the fist, move your hand up and down as if waving goodbye and turn your palm up and down. It will heal in 6-8 weeks…that’s if you follow your doc’s instructions during the healing process.
