Following surgery to remove one edge of an ingrown toenail on the big toe, (scheduled next week) what is the expected recovery time, and when can the patient return to work?

I am not familiar with how ingrown nail surgery is done in the UK but generally speaking this is a well tolerated procedure with little down time. Some shoes if they are tight in the toe box area may be uncomfortable. After several days when the initial dressing is changed generally we use a bandaid for several weeks until the surgical site fills in and heals. Hope this helps.
