There is no one answer. Treatments can range from conservative such as open back shoes, immobilization, Silipos Achilles tendon pad, physical therapy etc. to surgical repair. It depends on the patient too.
I have just been diagnosed with the above and can barely walk. It resulted from aerobics with poor shoes. I am on antiflammatories and crutches. I cannot afford physiotherapy as I am on a single mother pension. How can I best treat this? How long will recovery be? When can I resume exercise?Thank you very much.
