Iontophoresis and ITB

(2 discussions)

Just wondering if any of you has tried iontophoresis for treatment of ITB FS or any other injury for that matter.

If so, did you find it sped up your healing? No difference?

Thanks.

    Hi Muscledawg:

Thanks for your feedback. I start ionto today and am set up for a total of 6 treatments. I think it is a smarter thing to try rather than a cortisone injection.

Anyway, thanks for your words of caution re: knowing the source of the ITB problems. I believe we have that nailed down and I continue to work on strengthening and balancing AND stretching well. Mostly, I believe it was a training error – too much speedwork too fast. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Well, you know what they say about hindsight! Thanks again and keep your fingers crossed.

Ionto has worked for me but its takes 3 or 4 treatments before you feel the benefits.

Remember tho that Ionto is directly treating the inflammation NOT the reason you are inflamed in the first place!

Make sure they figure that out for you so that once your inflammation is gone it doesn’t come back.

    Hope that helps,
    Muscledawg.
