Jones Fracture

This past week I was diagnosed with a “Jones Fracture”.
I have been put in a walking boot and have been instructed to be non-weight bearing.
My question is this… I am a varsity soccer player with only a few matches left in my season.. what are the concequences if I were to play on my foot.
I am not currently feeling any pain at all in my foot.
Thank youJenn

Your question seems simple enough, but I am going to have to skirt the issue. Without seeing your foot and an X ray I can not tell you definitely what you should do. I would say that if you indeed have a Jones Fracture, playing soccer is not going to help. You really should discuss this more with your doctor. Jones fractures have a tendency to become a non-union.
