Jumpers Knee…

(2 discussions)

Hi, I am 15 years old and I play alo of basketball. Right before the basketball season started I sprained my ankle and then I at the end of the season on the last game I sprained my other ankle. After the season I played in a 3 on 3 tournament with 2 of my other teammates and when I went home I relaxed on basketball and sports and stayed indoors for about a week. After that I went to play some basketball and I felt this pain in my left knee and then my right knee. Its not on the knee cap but it is right under it, on my upper shin. When I squat down it hurts and when I jump it hurts too but not as bad as when I squat. I need to know how to treat this as soon as possible. Please email me and help me out. Thanks!

Hi, I’m 13 and I play a lot of sports. Today, while playing basketball, someone told me that I over-extended my knee. I fell and my lower leg bent forward, farther than it’s supposed to. How can I treat this? Is it something I have to worry about?

A friend was rafting on Sunday, caught her foot between rocks underwater. It swelled up about 50% and it is painful when she puts sideways stress on it. She can put weight on it and carry on ordinary activities at a slower pace. How would you suggest that she assist the knee in healing. Thanks,Charles Phillips
