Knee soreness
Hi,
I’m a keen cyclist and have been experiencing some knee soreness over the last few weeks. I have two theories which might account for it –
1. I’ve upped my weekly mileage
2. I’ve started using clipless pedals (Time ATACs) but am confident I have now set up the cleats correctly, although this has taken a few hundred miles.
I’m experiencing a general soreness of the right knee only. It almost feels like a skin irritation sometimes – a burning feeling. The soreness can move around but on the whole I feel it above the kneecap from centre to inside. Prodding around produces no pain. I wake up painfree and have been regularly stretching for over a year now. I can cycle as normal but if I push the pace I’m aware of it but it is not debilitating.
I have cut back a little on mileage and intensity. Any ideas?
Cheers
Dave
