knot on achilles tendon
(2 discussions)
I have a lump the size of a grape on my tendon.
very tender to touch and swelling on either side of the tendon.
I can walk on my foot with no problem…
I have been putting ice on the area every evening. What could be causing the knot?

Without seeing it, I can't be sure. One possibility is a tendon callus, from a tear in the tendon. Another is a xanthoma or fatty deposit. You need to have this looked at.

connie
I had a MRI done on my ankle and they found a parital rupture of the achilles tendon. Looks like I will be in a cast for the next 8-12 weeks. 🙁 connie
