Left-side pain

(4 discussions)

Ihave, for the past four months, suffered chronic neck, shoulder, tricep, lower arm, outer thigh & outer calf ache. sometimes the pain is so severe that I am unable to sleep. the pain pattern is haphazard and a recent MRI scan of my spine showed no particular abnormalities for my age (56).
I had a mild whip-lash injury 5 years ago and had a very nasty wisdom tooth extraction (left side!) just prior to that. 3 months later a developed a facial itch just below my left nostril which comes & goes at will. It has driven me mad in the past but following a course of Neurontin has been hardly troublesome.
Sinus scans have also proved negative & I am at my wit’s end to know what to do next.
Strong ant-inflammatories are not particularly helpful and I do not care for some of the side-effects. I have tried physiotherapy combined with acupuncture but relief is only transitory and sometimes it makes the symptoms worse. My right side is completely problem-free. Any suggestions please?

Maybe you need to talk to your Doctors about RSD. There is a website that is rsda. org that I deal with. This disease is very bad. Please check it out. Any??

I belch endlessly and also fart almost continuosly much of it drawing from the pain in the left side of the abdomen. If that part of my body is in contact with any warm part of my wife’s the pain eases but may not go immediately. At other times the pain disappears if I take in some food. In most instances this pain comes when I lie down on whichever side.
