Lower Back Trauma

Has anybody got any information about trigger points re: muscular injuries. It’s been suggested that scarred muscle still in spasm may be the reason for a two year old injury failing to clear up. Anybody any experience of this?

Thanks a million for replying. I have an appointment with a sports physio on Friday, so at least I now have some idea what to expect! It’s so frustrating to have pain and no solutions – let’s hope I’ll have a breakthrough when I go here! I’ll let you know how I get on.

i had a trigger point massage a few weeks ago……it is not relaxing at all it hurst quite a bit.for instance he found a very tender spot on my shoulder ……which i had not told him hurt…….and he pressed firmly on the inflamed bursa…..they hold it for x amount of time.release and do it again…….i found that it was bruised for days and felt bruised BUT after a week it felt better …..it isnt gone but does feel bette i think if i go back it will help…….now i have scar tissue in my other shoulder and it did not help at all…..i think it helps with inflamed muschles, tendons and bursas……not sure about scar tissue….maybe repetitive treatmenets can break it up?
