Lump on bottom of foot

I have a lumb on the bottom of my foot where the arch runs into the heel. It started out small, about the size of a pea, now it’s about an inch across. It isn’t visable but when you touch that part of the foot you can definitely feel it. It’s very firm and VERY painful. Any ideas?

You may have plantar fibromatosis. See your podiatrist. Injection therapy is an option. Surgery to remove intrafascial nodules is difficult and may recur. Al Kline DPMpodassociates
