Medial Plica, Urgent Help!
Guys, they detected me with a plica in the medial ligament. they injected me with a steroid injection, and the pain suddenly left when going down stairs, and i was able to play a bit of football again…
2 weeks after the injection the pain came again, especially when it is cold outside..
(obviously i dosent hurt as much, but it still does)
does anyone know how long it takes to recover from a plica excision oper.??

Plica excision is a very minor procedure and is only slightly more traumatic than the scope itself. I am a collegiate level athletic trainer and I have had athletes return to competition in as little as 10 days. Generally you can do whatever you want based on your pain levels.
