i have been sufferening for over 3 and a half years. I have tried everything. doctors don’t know or nothing. mine started with neck pain on oneside, couldnt turn my head to the left. then pain in left shoulder, then in hands. then through out time, I got really worse, and ended up having pain in both shoulders, shoulderblads, hands, elbows. head aches. chest painnow I get pain in both eyes, mostly in the right eye, that side of the head feels heavyh. my eylid on the right is drooping. I get it in the right shoulder blade too. and the rear of the shoulder. fingers both hands. can get it in the ear too. suffer from blurred vision too. redness on occasion I think.from the request of my doc, I had an eye test done. that proved that I was slightly short sighted ( so I could see distant things properly) and that was in the right eye. I knw before I gained this injury, what ever it is, I had perfect vision. I used to be able to see things from a far with ease. people used to ask me whats in the distance because they couldnt read it. I have had x-rays, and an MRI and the doc said im completely normal. he brushed off the pain I feel as anxiety, I feel that this is nonsence because I am not stressfull, and I haven’t got any stress. I do at times think about the pain because naturally a person would. I saw a chiropractor, that didn’t do much for me- this was in the early stages. but I couldnt afford going back to him. a few months ago, I went to see an ostreopath, he said that I got a bio-mechanical problem, and he could sort me out with a couple of treatments, looking for answers I went to him for a while, and I felt a new pain in my thumb, felt it every where but that. I couldnt afford seeing him because it would cost me ?80 to travel to him then ?70 for a session.found an oestoepath locally, and he said oesteopathy will not help me, he wanted to do acupuncture. did that, and that did absolut nothing for me. I am young. well 24 if you consider young. have been searching for answers since it started 3 and a half years ago. at times I begin to feel that there are no answers for me. I live and had lived a healthy lifestyle, don’t drink alcohol, dnt smoke, or do drugs. active in sports. Do participate in contact sports. I took a year out because of this injury, thinking it would help, but it didn’t. I have full motion in my movent at times, but thats with fighting the pain. since I had this pain also, I have to raise my left arm out to the side and above the head, and it clicks around the shoulder blade ( can not pin point it tho, its feels like its in that region). I do that because it feels like it frees the arm. I have tried pain killer, ibrufen – anti inflamatories, diazapam and the do absolutely nothing for me. I can still feel the pain just, its as if I haven’t taken anything for it at all.also I do get ear pain, this isnt as common, but it comes and goes. its also like a ringing in the ear, really high pitched. some times it feels like a tooth ache, it could be. dnt knw. I was never in any accident that could have caused it. at the time I was active as normal, weight training ( not heavy, just easy medium weight), and participating in contact sport. I have searched the wb for answers, and still find nothing. I think I have covered everything, im feel that forgetful too. just forget little things at time. not dementure style, but little pionts, like I was ment to do this, forgot to phone some one. or forgotten what I was going to say. Please help me someonejagdeep singh

I have the same problem, related to work transcribing all day. Saw primary care doctor who gave Soma, trigger point injection in shoulder, etc.; saw eye doctors many times, and allergist. The allergist helped with sinus part of headaches, but not searing eye pain (I would have to bathe my eyes in icewater to keep working at the computer everyday). I was about ready to try accupuncture when I started going to a chiropractor almost a year ago for the neck pain. At the time, I did not realizing the eye and shoulder pain was related to inflamed nerves cause by my neck and muscle spasm at the base of my skull. I began to experience relief from the searing eye pain following the chiropractic adjustments. I still go one day a week and am doing exercises to strengthen my posture now. The pain is about 80% better and occurs mostly at work now. If the pain cycle is not broken completely, I may try botox injections to rest the nerves and heal the neck. The chiropractor is the best I have been to in Northern California. Good Luck.

It is nearly a year since I posted my 1st topic.as an update, I still have not change. I went to india to see doctors and people who might be able to help.that came with no joy. I had more x rays and MRI scans done there, and they said that there is a problem. gave me medicine. injections and I still don’t feel any better. I am now 25, and feel so low. I have no idea where to go what to do to sort this out. if anyone has had all of these pains and managed to sort it out, please let me and other people who suffer from this know.iv seen more chiropractors, therapists, herbalists and no luck. I feel I am losing the love for things I used to enjoy.

i forgot to add.the MRI I had done in india, they said I have 3 mild diffused disks. I showed it to the consultant here and they said it was absolutaly fine. I also had an MRI on my shoulder, they diagnosed that as Subacromial bursitis.showed it here, and they said its nothing to worry about. it will get better. I have heard of the saying time is the greatest healer of all, but how long does one wait? till they are old and they have 0% of quality of life?to what ever problems I have. I have lost 4 and a half years. its something ill never get back.

Jagdeep,Hope this helps; Symptoms of Thoracic Outlet SyndromeThe medically established symptoms of TOS may include Numbness, swelling or tingling of the arm, shoulder and handPins and needles feeling down the armA “heavy feeling” in the armTingling feeling in the hands, especially the pinkie finger and the one next to itColdness in the hand and arm due to decreased blood circulationThe arm and hand may swell up and the blood vessels may appear more pronounced and “bulgy” Shoulder and neck painRestrictive movement of the neck arm and shoulder Bluish discoloration of the arm and hand due to decreased blood / oxygen flow. TOS Symptoms Based on Personal ObservationsListed above are the conditions medical doctors often link to TOS. Listed below are symptoms, based on my personal experience, I believe are often overlooked symptoms of TOS. Because TOS involves pressure on the nerves, muscles and the blood vessel to the head, eye and nose, I suspect there are more facial conditions caused by TOS than are often diagnosed by most doctors. In my case, and I suspect others, TOS caused a domino effect of imbalances on the whole left side of my head. And in turn I think I had some overall body alignment issues which caused the TOS. For years I went to opthamologists and optometrists for eye floaters and pain in my left eye, but they never found anything wrong. It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome and found a physical therapist who was able to treat the condition that I understood the cause of my eye problems. My physical therapist explained to me that my TOS was putting pressure on the nerves around my head and neck as well as restricting blood flow to my eye and nose on my left side. This pressure is what caused my eye to hemorrhage and my nose to bleed just on one side. Eventually, I was able to clear up many of the following conditions with physical therapy, trigger point therapy and yoga poses designed especially for TOS. Eye floatersWavy lines in my peripheral vision. (I’ve found I can bring this condition on inadvertently when I do yoga poses that tighten my shoulder muscles too much, and I can get rid of the wavy lines with yoga poses that looses up my shoulders and relieve pressure on my eye.)Flashes or “seeing stars”High blood pressure just on one side on my bodyA feeling of pressure behind the eye on the TOS sideEye pain Eye hemorrhage (bleeding in the eye)*Nose bleeds* just from one side of the noseHeadaches just on left side of my head Shoulder popping out of place (my left shoulder muscles were so tight at one point that once my shoulder joint popped out of place just from brushing my teeth.) I’m also much more nearsighted in my left eye than in my right. I suspect it may be at least in part from the TOS restricting blood flow, and the nutrients that blood carries, to that eye:
