neck pain numb pinky
I developed some numbness in my left pinky about a year ago. Soon after that my left side of my neck near the clavical hurting. Like a deep throbbing and stiffness. No matter how much I massage it it felt worse. Especially when I turn my head. I noticed when I put pressure on it my pinky finger felt really numb like the circulation was being cut off in my hand. .
My doctor gave me a head cat scan and an a neck xray but said they were normal.. Whats wrong with my neck?

: : Whats wrong with my neck? You need to be checked for Thoracic outlet symdrome. I have it on both sides. It can get worse over time if your posture is bad also. The way my Dr found the first results was when I was holding an arm up in the air in differant positions and my blood pressure stopped. Someone can put their fingers on your wrist and check it as you make various arm movements. You can include head and neck movements too. If you get dizzy in differant positions that can happen too. Basically this is where something in you neck or chest like a rib can be cutting off some of the blood supply or it could be putting pressure on a nerve. If you have a friend feel your pulse, you have to hold your arm up yourself. You should also put your arm down and behind your back to check. It took me a long time to find a doctor that had enough sense to listen to me and had enough sense to raise my arms up and check for a blood pressure. Other testing was done afterward as well. This is an idea for you to chek out. Although it could be anything. Pay attention to if you hand is colder than the other one. I went through $4000.00 in nuerology test when I keep telling him I thought it was my circulation. He found nothing. I went to a simple internal medicine Dr and she found the problem in 3 minutes flat. There is help for this problem caught at an early stage through therapy and sometimes surgery. Mine is very bad and nothing helped. Good posture at the early stage will help. Hope this helps you
