Need Help with Chronic hamstring tendonitis

(3 discussions)

I have had chronic hamstring problems for the past several years. I have had many different diagnoses, as well as treatments. The latest treatment was to take 10 months off from all activity, and have a steroid injection into the tendon area. The hamstring still flares up with sitting and bending, exercising, etc… The latest news from this doctor is that there is nothing more he can do for me. I need to know if there are any other treatments I am missing. I miss my running, skiing, biking, softball, etc… I need to find a solution. Please HELP!

You should try acupuncture with someone recommended to you. I highly recommend it

Have you tried regular massage?A weekly treatment too your legs, hips and lower back, should relax and revitalise those muscles, and also inrease the elasticity. Then you should be able to stretch your hamstrings easily on a regular basis ,too prevent any recurrance.Good luck Rob
