Need timeline for kidner procedure

Hello.. I had a Modified Kidner Procedure done on 3/29 for a broken navicular bone w/ tendon relocation needed.
I’m wondering what the “expected” time line from day of surgery to normal walking should be.
I am 5 days post op and can barely put pressure on it, let alone walk on it.

I just had the Kidner procedure done 3/31/06 and my surgeon is wonderful. He has done this surgery many times and says recovery definitely takes time. He told me I’ll be in this splint for a week to wait for swelling to reduce and then I’ll be in a cast for 3 weeks. During this time it is critical to not put any weight on that foot! Then after the 3 weeks in the cast if there is NO tenderness then I can start slowly appling pressure to it, although I will still be in a cast for n additional 3 weeks. After that you should expect some physical therapy for a better recovery and more mobility. If you have any more questions you can email me at brinabean7@yahoo.
