Numbness in left hand & fingers

For about 6-8 months now I have had this tingling in my left hand and fingers……Sometimes at night it wakes me up, also, it feels like my hand is on fire…..If I lay my hand down lower than the mattress it seems to alleviate the tingling… I also discovered that if I press in on an area just to the right of my left shoulder blade on my back this will also reduce the tingling in my left hand and fingers…..Can you give me some insight as to what the problem and cure might be? dear Drfor the last couple of days I have been waking up at night with numbness in the whole of my left hand from the shoulders downwards.and the middle finger has a piain when there is movement. It worries me ,do I have any heart problem?

Typical for CTsyndrome is tingling in the fingers fingers 1-4, especially at night. If it doesn’t get better, see a dr. Hello Bill, I am not a DR but I work as an ortho nurse and your symptoms sound like something called Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Do some research on this topic, maybe it can give you some answers. Typical for CTsyndrome is tingling in the fingers fingers 1-4, especially at night. If it doesn’t get better, see a dr. A simple procedure under local anesthetic will solve the problem of CTS. For three weeks I’ve been having numbness in my hand and tingling. It only effects the left hand and the last two fingers. I have had neck and shoulder pain for a long time now (ten years). I’m also a practicing hygienist for the past twenty years. Do I have Carpel Tunnel or problems related to my neck. Please Hep!!

For about 2 week’s now I’m getting tingling in my left hand and wrist.I,allready have Carpul Tunnel Syndrome in that hand and wrist. Please can you make it go away?

the first time, 2 mos. ago, my bottom lip, left hand, then right, and both feet went numb. I layed down and after a couple hours it went away. then it reoccurred in my hands maybe 4 times a week for a month, then it went away entirely for about a week, now it reoccurs about every day in my left hand from my wrist to my entire hand. It was only happenning at night for about an hour, the last 2 days its been all day. its not a prickely feeling. it’s more numbing and heavy, weak. my whole body’s been mildly achey. I looked at my diet any changes to anything, and the only thing that happened to me out of the ordinary was that I hurt my nose on a table I was pulling out of my car. it was painful for about 2 weeks or so, one week into this numbing thing. I was told this could be a result of allergies and my nose had nothing to do with it. is this true. I was afraid the lorazepam was effecting my nerves, please help me. thank you.

RE: for the past month or two I have had consistant numbness in my left hand paticulaly my 2 left fingers my pinkie finger stays numb. It all feels worst when I wake up in the mornings. I’d would like a medical opinion on this issue. Could this be a sign of a stroke?

I have been having tingelin in my little pinky and it goes all the way down to my wrist and now the finger beside it is startign to tingle and it goes numb on me it is a constant thing it never stops what is going on please tell me
