Numbness in outside of leg

Hi-I was diagnosed with latent Osgood Schlater, I am 33. But I also have an unexplained symptom, numbness in the outside of my leg between the hanstring and quad. My Dr. is at a loss. Numbness occurs whenever I stand in one place for a minute or more. Any thoughts? Leads to lots of issues when trying to move quickly, get up from charis etc. Thanks!
