numbness on side of foot

About 2 weeks ago, I found that the right side of my right foot is numb.
Not completely, but there is a small bump there and when I touch the bump it does not hurt, but above the bump (about 2 inches from the toes) there is a numb/tingly area about 2 inches long.
I have no pain.
I am in the Army and I run frequently.
I have tried to research this and I have nothing about numness on the side of the foot.
It is directly on the side, exactly in between the toes and the heel.
I have no clue what this could be.
Please help.

I would need to see an x-ray to rule out a stress fracture. You might also have a nerve entrapment. If you have access to a podiatrist, I recommend a visit.
