OLD BROKEN COLLAR BONE

I NEEDED TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEA OF WHAT MIGHT BE HAPPENING TO ME. I BROKE MY COLLAR BONE ABOUT 7TO 10 YEARS AGO AND AFTER I WORE THE FIGURE EIGHT BRACE I HAVE HAD SEVERE PAIN, NUMBNESS AND TINGLING AND ALSO A VERY BAD POPPING AND GRINDING BY MY SHOULDER BLADE. IS THIS A RESULT OF BAD HEALING OR AM I DEFORMED SOME HOW AND NEED SURGERY TO CORRECT IT? THANK YOU

I have similar problems. The numbness is most likely nerve damage (it is definitely for me). I don’t know what the severe pain is though. As for the popping, the doctor’s called it “snappy scapula syndrome.” It’s where the scapula (shoulder blade) rubs and catches on the ribs. The scapula connects to the shoulder at the AC joint, and sometimes the trauma of a clavicle injury can offset the alignment of the scapula as well.
