Outside foot pain

I recently started having pain on the outside part of my right foot. It is in the middle of the foot, more under the foot than the top. It hurts to put pressure on it, run, and the pain feels like it is being gripped and squeezed in a vice. It almost feels like a tendon maybe. I can’t seem to find anything relevant on the internet. Do you have any idea of what this is and what I can do to treat it? Thank you.

I recommend you see a podiatrist for x-rays and possibly further tests. I would be very difficult to guess at what the cause of the complaint is.
