Pain from plantar’s fascia night splint

I’m currently wearing a Dyna Splint (ankle Dorsi Flexion) www.dynasplint.com which was prescribed by my podiatrist.
I wake up after 2 hrs of sleep with extreme pain in the upper pad (balls?) of my foot, from the small toe all the way across but not under my big toe.
It almost feels like a blister had popped-a burning feeling, and sometimes a numbness waking feeling.
Painful enough to wake me from a sound sleep nightly.Any suggestions?
I’ve tried loosening it, and wearing a sandle with it.
Thank you,Vicky

I recommend you tell your doctor about this. There are a number of patients who have similar complaints about night splints. One possibility is that the plantar fascia is pressing on the plantar nerves.
