Pain in lower forearm and elbow

Hello,

I recently started having pain and trouble straightening my right arm after I used Elastic bands for bicep curls. Obviously the band was too hard for my level.

I am experiencing pain in the right forearm – close to the elbow and cannot straighten my arm and it is a bit tender.

Does it sound like I have Tendonitis? Can I still exercise – or should I allow it to rest? What treatments should I undergo?

Thank you
Joyce

Assuming this is a recent complaint.
Most likely your soreness is a case of ‘DOMS’ (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)which occurs after strenuous ‘unfamiliar’ activity. This soreness/tightness at it’s worst may stay around for almost a week, but is nothing to be too worried about. DOMS is very common and is actually a signal to your body to build more muscle in that particular spot. The DOMS you experience will decrease (not disappear)as you become stronger and more familiar with your new activity. Remember to have agood warm up before your start.

    Cheers
