Pain in outside of foot
For the past couple of weeks, have had a problem with the left foot. There was initially pain and swelling. The swelling has gone down to almost nothing, and the pain has lessened a great deal. But if I press on the outside of the left foot ( about two inches, front and downward of the ankle ) there is soreness and a little pain. Can you give any guidance as to what this might be?

To see is to know, not to see is to guess. You should see a podiatrist for further evaluation and examination. There may have been a fracture in this area. An x-ray would be helpful to start.
