Pain in the knee

I was participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life fundraiser in my town back towards the end of June. I had been asleep for about three hours when my turn to walk/run came up. It being three a.m. and I still had a groggy head I decided to run a mile and then walk the rest of the time (without a warm-up). At the end of my turn my knee sort of started hurting along the backside.
When I went running about two days later my knee felt like it had been over stretched/strained and I had to cut my run short because the pain of extending it out all the way was bothering me so much.
I’ve been icing, elevating, and rest my knee (back side, right knee, mainly the inside tendon) since then, while running twice a week. I’m into almost the forth week and there is still a minor pain on that back, inside tendon.
Any advice, besides what I have been doing already?
