Pain on top of foot

I was walking up some stairs earlier and I missed stepped went back down one and twisted my foot to the side (my foot kind of rolled around a bit)now I am having pain, minimal swelling and tenderness along the top, middle of my left foot. I looked online and it seems to me that the edge of the cuboid bone is in just the right spot. That is the only site of the pain. It is now painful to walk on and is starting to hurt when it is just relaxed. I tried ice and took roxicet for the pain (not helping). I recently shattered my wrist and the pain when I did that is totally different that this. Could it be something besides broken? Could it be a possible sprain? Thank You!

Certainly there are several possibilities- a fracture, sprain or tendon tear. Without examining your foot I can not say for sure. The fact that there is pain signifies that something isn’t right. I recommend you get this seen about.
