pain under left shoulder blade

I have a pain under my left ahoulder blade which started out as a tightness around the back of my neck & shoulders. I got it massaged, now the pain seems to be lodged under my left shoulder blade. It hurts very much to sneeze or cough. No known injury. What might this be a cause of?

Muscles from the neck are connected to the shoulder blades and it could be that a muscle from the shoulder blade was the problem all along. If tight muscles are left too long, they eventually take other muscles with it. Once the MT got the neck “knot” out, the subscapularis “knot” became noticable. Continue with massage, have them work on the subscapularis muscles and see if that helps
