peroneal tendon??
I have pain just above and to the back of my ankle bone ( On the outside), only when going downstairs though. COuld this possible be related to my achilles tendonitis or is this an entirely different thing all together. I think it may be the peroneal tendon or in some sort of ligament located in that area. Thanks

When a patient presents with a problem such as you have described, If I am not clear on the cause, I will send them for a MRI. It is impossible to tell if your discomfort is coming form the achilles or peroneal tendons.
I recommend you see a podiatrist for further evaluation.
