Pigeon toe/ankle problem

I was born pigeon toed and wore special shoes when I was a baby.
This never corrected the problem, in fact, seems to be getting worse in my 50’s.
When I sleep I can’t keep my right ankle straight and curl my foot and toes under. When I awake, it’s very painful when I try to walk until I get moving.
It’s been hurting during the day also.
What can I do to keep my foot/ankle straight while sleeping?
I have an elastic support but it doesn’t help. Is there some sort of brace to wear to keep my ankle/foot straight?

It is very likely that your foot and leg have adapted by now to this position. It is difficult to expect a brace to undo this. Any of the over the counter braces you might see at the site that hosts this forum would look like a possible idea, but I doubt they would work. I would suggest you speak to an orthopedist
