plantar faciitis???

been on a weightloss/exercise program for 2 months. Run 4 miles per day on a treadmill.
Severe pain in left heel.
Sometimes have to skip a day of jogging or cut it down to brisk walking only 2 – 3 miles.
Pain stays all day when I am on my feel. Actually hobble especially when getting up after being seated (long or short spans). Heel is very sore. Could this be planta faciitis, or is my weight (150 lbs on 5 ft frame) just too much for foot to handle?
Why only the left heel? Will it improve as weight continues to drop?

Your symptoms are suspicious for Plantar Fasciitis. Probably the level of activity and what shoes you are wearing are more contributory than just the weight. I recommend you see a podiatrist.
