plantar Facitiis

(2 discussions)

I am looking for outdoor soccer shoes that would be good for my feet.
I am coming back from a torn ligament plus plantar facitiis in my right foot.
Have any suggestions?

I have that also. Go to FootSmart.com and purchase these inserts called HTP Heel that Pain. They have a silicone “bump” that places pressure on the tendon allowing it to stretch and relieving a lot of the pain. They have may other items you may want to try, but this and stretching of the calf muscles works best for me. Best way to do it is to stand (balls of feet) on the edge of a step, allow your body weight to lower you heels below the step, and boy does it hurt, but if you do it enough times and on a regular basis it works. My podiatrist has the same problem and this is what he recommended, since it works the best for him and it is the cheapest too!

I am a club tennis player and once last month and once this month, I woke up with the moring heel pain discribed as Facitiis. Both times it disappeared in about two days. This time I am icing and exercising and taking aspirin. Should I see a Dr. immediately, stop playing tennis. Rest for a certain amount of time?? Does this condition ever completely go away??
